German photographer Hedda Morrison crossed the ocean to China in 1933 and did not return to Germany until 1946. In the past 13 years, she has traveled to many cities in China and taken more than 10,000 photos.
When Hedda Morrison died in Australia in 1991, she made a will before her deathbed to donate more than 10,000 negatives and more than 6,000 photographs she took in China over the course of 13 years to the Yenching Library at Harvard University.
