Former Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus superstar Alves has been granted (restricted) freedom after serving 430 days in prison. The first thing Alves did when he was released from prison was to throw a carnival party, which ended at 5 a.m.
On January 20, 2023, Alves was arrested and held in Barcelona's Brian 2 prison, on February 22, 2024, Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison after the results of the trial, and on March 25, Alves paid a bail of 1 million euros and left prison after 430 days, but could not leave the country.
Saying goodbye to prison life, Alves was finally able to let himself go. The newspaper Marca revealed that on March 26, the first day after his release from prison, Alves threw a party.
The theme of the party was to celebrate the birthday of Alves' father, Dominguez Alves (Old Alves). Alves, who has just been released from prison, acts as a party host and invites close friends to attend. According to Marca, this is not a simple birthday party, but a carnival celebration. After the squatting reporters left, the party officially began, and it was not until 5 a.m. on the second day that the party ended.
Alves' freedom is restricted. Two of his passports (Spain, Brazil) were temporarily withdrawn and he was unable to leave Spain. In addition, Alves has to go to the courthouse every Friday to check in. As this Friday is a public holiday, Alves needs to go to the court on Thursday.
After the party's party in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Alves slept and on Thursday morning, the former Barcelona superstar came to the court to check in. According to Marca, Alves and lawyer Inés Guardiola arrived at the courthouse together, and on the way, the former Barcelona star was subjected to abuse from passers-by.
