Kunming, March 28 (Reporter Hu Yuanhang) On March 28, 1959, Tibet completely abolished feudal serfdom, and millions of serfs were liberated and became the masters of this land. Today, 65 years later, the snowy plateau sings a new song. Produced by the Information Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province and produced by the Yunnan Branch of China News Service for four years, the Chinese version of the documentary "Shangri-La in the World - The Home of the Central Sect" has landed on the all-media platform of China News Network. This is the first time that the documentary has been broadcast in China after being broadcast in Nepal and Germany.

This 60-minute documentary focuses on a middle-aged Tibetan woman who grazes cattle in the inaccessible plateau pastures all year round - Qilin Yangzong, and slowly shows the world-famous "paradise" - Shangri-La in Yunnan, the spring, summer, autumn and winter of a secret pasture, the daily life of an ordinary herdsman, and a common epic sung by ancient times.

The last episode of "Pastoral Winter and Summer" revolves around the ranch life of Yang Zong. Twice a year, winter and summer, it is the constant footsteps and survival wisdom of the herdsmen on the snowy plateau. Whether chasing the melting snow line north, following the warm current of green grass and flowers to the south, grazing on the shores of beautiful mountain lakes or being blocked by steep and steep mountain cliffs, Yangzong and her cattle, sheep and horses have been moving forward. Farewell and departure, reunion and staycation, in this seemingly eternal cycle of life, subtle changes have quietly occurred.

The next episode, "Home Spring and Autumn", tells the story of the fate of Yang Zong and her husband, mother, daughter and other family members and the fusion of the torrent of the times. Yangzong's old mother was also a shepherd, and when she was young, she experienced a life of turmoil and poverty. It was not until after the founding of the People's Republic of China that she turned over like countless Tibetans. Now this 80-year-old man has been taken to a modern city by his son, teasing his grandson and living for the rest of his life. In the summer of 2023, accompanied by her children and grandchildren, she fulfilled her long-cherished wish to travel to Tibet to see the Potala Palace in Lhasa and the sacred mountain Kailash. Yangzong and her four older brothers have more life choices, Yangzong has taken over his mother's whip and grazing in his hometown, some of his brothers are farming and doing business in the local area, and some have gone out to study and work in the capital Beijing and Shangri-La, the capital of the prefecture.

"The world of Yangzong, the ancient pasture, connects the life choices of three generations, showing the story of Shangri-La of the world and Shangri-La's world about family, home and country. Yang Muyuan, the director of the film, said that he and the film crew spent nearly four years recording the story of Yang Zong. This is a micro and majestic story worth telling to the outside world.

In fact, as early as the beginning of 2020, when the new crown epidemic was just beginning to ravage the world, a reporter from China News Service noticed the story of Yang Zong. At that time, Yangzong's elder brother, Tashi Dunzhu, who worked and lived in Beijing, posted a clip of Yangzong's life in the Shangri-La Plateau Ranch on WeChat Moments almost every day. The sister's ancient and peaceful life in the ranch aroused the yearning and thinking of many of Tashi Dunzhu's friends. On February 24 of the same year, a reporter from China News Service conducted a solid interview on this, and exclusively broadcast the article "The World of Yangzong": A Peaceful Life in the Homeland of Tibet), spreading the story of Yangzong to the world for the first time.

The filming of "Shangri-La in the World - Yangzong's Home" is a continuation. The film crew hopes to provoke people to think about "what is a Shangri-La ideal life?"

Shangri-La, where the Yangzong family lives, is the capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan. One of China's 10 Tibetan autonomous prefectures, the state used to be widespread in poverty, but after decades of sustainable development, it has become the "Shangri-La of the world". At present, the per capita disposable annual income here is more than 22,000 yuan, the average life expectancy is more than 70 years, children generally receive 14 years of free education, the ecological environment is good, the forest coverage rate is as high as more than 77%, and the modern airport and highway have been built, and the history of no trains will be ended at the end of November 2023, further connecting with the hinterland of China and the world.

On December 10 (World Human Rights Day) and 22, 2023, the documentary was broadcast on Nepal TV and Berlin TV in Germany, respectively, attracting attention at home and abroad. Nepal's largest Nepali-language newspaper, Gorkha Daily, published an article saying: "'Yangzong's Home' gives Nepalis a glimpse of the changes in the lives of Yangzong's family. These Tibetans share with their neighbors, the Naxi, Lisu, and Yi, the opportunities brought about by China's rapid development. Dürsson Iyter, a senior German media personality and director of Berlin TV, praised the film as a touching "ode to joy" for herdsmen in western China, and was deeply moved by the simplicity, sincerity, tenacity and perseverance of the Yangzong family in different life trajectories. "Reference News" and "Asia-Pacific Daily" also published articles on the repercussions of the documentary overseas.

For the domestic premiere, the film crew specially added an "easter egg" link - just last month, Qilin Yangzong's daughter Yangzong Cuom and her husband held a wedding in Niru Village, and the film crew recorded this Tibetan "new" marriage throughout the whole process, once again witnessing the reunion and growth of this big family.

From the ranch to Niru, from Shangri-La to Kunming, to Lhasa, to Beijing...... Relatives and friends of the Yang clan who came to attend the wedding came from all over the country. In the past, they traveled from the common origin of Niru Village to various places, but this time, they returned to Niru Village from all over the country to send blessings to the newlyweds.

"Compared with the wedding of my mother Qilin Yangzong, the wedding of Yangzong Cuom is too rich, and there are more than 20 kinds of vegetables for the wedding banquet alone. Yang Muyuan said that the people of the snowy plateau, who used to be bitter cold and only fed on barley potatoes, have now lived a new life. But what remains unchanged is the joyful pot village and reunion.

The reporter learned that although the documentary has come to an end for the time being, the film crew's record of Yangzong's family will continue.
