On April 25, a seminar on the integration of sports education and the development of school sports characteristics in primary and secondary schools in Chang'an District was held.
The event was hosted by the Chang'an District Education Bureau and the Xi'an Educational Psychology Association, and undertaken by the Western Education Area and Xi'an Chang'an Greenland City Primary School.
With the theme of "Youth Home, Sunshine and Fitness, My Future", the event was divided into three parts: special display, challenge world champion and theme seminar, aiming to deeply explore the integration of sports and education, show the teaching achievements of sports characteristic schools in Chang'an District, and promote exchanges and cooperation between schools.
In the special display session, the comprehensive quality display and rope skipping special display of Greenland City Primary School won the warm applause of the participants.
Subsequently, students from more than 20 schools in Xi'an and Zhao Ziwei, the world champion of rope skipping, carried out the "Challenge World Champion Activity", which included three events: 30-second racing jump, 1-minute racing jump, and 30-second double rock jump. The athletes are not afraid of strong opponents, and they have shown their best form to compete with the world champions.
It is understood that Zhao Ziwei, a student in the third class of the sixth grade of Xi'an Chang'an Greenland City Primary School, began to practice rope skipping at the age of 10 and became the first Shaanxi player to win the world championship of rope skipping at the age of 12. In February 2023, he participated in the "National Rope Skipping League Finals" and won the first place in the 30-second single shake jump (double-foot rotation jump) and the second place in the 30-second interval cross single shake jump, and in May 2023, he participated in the "2023 National Rope Skipping League (Gu'an Branch)" and won the first place in the 30-second interval cross single shake jump, in July 2023, he won one gold, one silver and one bronze in the "American Rope Skipping World Championships", and in December 2023, he participated in the "National Rope Skipping League Finals" Won the first place in the 30-second interval cross single shake jump.
In the theme discussion session, Li Zhengqi, principal of Greenland City Primary School, gave a report entitled "Exploration and Challenges of the Path of School Sports Characteristic Development", and shared with everyone the experience and confusion of the school's exploration in physical education and student training in recent years. In the roundtable interview, Zhao Ziwei, her father, class teacher, physical education teacher and coach shared her rope skipping experience and the training story behind it, and discussed the growth path of collaborative education and world champions.
At the seminar, it was pointed out that all schools should put school education and teaching and students' physical and mental health in an equal position, so that students can jump and move, and grow up healthy and happy in sports. It is necessary to continue to promote the integration of sports and education, not only to organize extensive participation, but also to integrate diversity, and create a good atmosphere for happy learning and healthy growth. All schools should also strengthen learning exchanges and cooperation, jointly promote the coordinated development of regional physical education, and actively explore the development path and characteristic brand of physical education suitable for the characteristics of the school, so as to make Chang'an education more quality and warm.
