CCTV News: The "May Day" holiday is approaching, and land ports in Guangxi, Yunnan and other places have ushered in the peak of inbound and outbound passenger flow in advance.
As the holiday approaches, the number of Chinese citizens returning to Vietnam to visit relatives and cross-border tourism between China and Vietnam is rising. It is estimated that during the "May Day" holiday, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Dongxing Port in Guangxi will reach more than 140,000.
According to the data provided by the Guangxi Border Inspection Station, during the May Day holiday in 2024, there will be more than 196,000 inbound and outbound passengers at the three ports of Nanning, Youyiguan and Dongxing.
From May 1st to 5th, Nanning Port plans to have about 44 direct inbound and outbound passenger flights to 12 cities including Hong Kong, Macau, Manila in the Philippines and Phnom Penh in Cambodia, and it is predicted that more than 11,000 inbound and outbound passengers will be taken.
The Friendship Pass Port in Pingxiang, Guangxi Province is one of the most convenient land passages from China to Vietnam, and its unique border customs and red customs tourist attractions have attracted many Chinese and foreign cross-border tourists. During the May Day holiday, it is expected that more than 45,000 inbound and outbound passengers will enter and exit the Friendship Pass port, and the average daily average is expected to be close to 10,000 during the peak period.
As the largest land port on the China-Myanmar border, Ruili Port plays an important role as a bridge and link in China-Myanmar trade exchanges. According to the data, compared with the fourth quarter of 2023, in the first quarter of 2024, the inbound and outbound passenger flow of Ruili Port increased by 9.1% quarter-on-quarter, and the inbound and outbound transportation vehicles increased by 1.6% quarter-on-quarter, and the average daily inbound and outbound passenger flow has exceeded 12,000 person-times.
Hekou Port is the largest land port in the Yunnan section of the China-Vietnam area, and it is expected that the number of people entering and leaving the country will exceed 70,000 during the May Day holiday in 2024.

In 2024, the number of foreign tourists coming to China will continue to rise, and the inbound and outbound traffic of Jiangsu and Zhejiang will increase significantly. It is expected that during the May Day holiday, the number of inbound and outbound tourists from the two places will increase significantly.
The reporter learned from the Jiangsu Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station that during the May Day holiday in 2024, the terminal is expected to inspect more than 420 inbound and outbound flights and more than 65,000 inbound and outbound passengers, an increase of 74% and 125% year-on-year respectively. At Nanjing Lukou International Airport, the largest airport port in Jiangsu, the flow of inbound and outbound passengers has increased significantly.
At present, 37 international (regional) passenger routes have been opened in Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou and other major airports in Jiangsu Province, two intercontinental routes such as Sydney and Milan, 25 Asian routes such as Japan and South Korea, and 10 regional routes such as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have been operating stably.
Affected by multiple factors such as the high popularity of outbound tourism by Chinese citizens and the continuous encryption of international (regional) routes, the inbound and outbound passenger flow of major airports and ports in Zhejiang has continued to operate at a high level since 2024. According to the forecast of Zhejiang Border Inspection Station, the "May Day" holiday will welcome more than 100,000 inbound and outbound passengers, a year-on-year increase of 89%.
At present, more than 50 international (regional) passenger routes have been opened in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and other major airports in Zhejiang Province, more than 10 intercontinental routes such as Portugal and Italy, and more than 30 Asian routes such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
