I would like to share with you the process of making mirror headlights with LED tubes, which took 20 minutes before and after, and the effect was very natural, simple and practical to make.

Preparation

The bathroom cabinet and mirror cabinet are all designed by myself, and when designing the mirror cabinet, I deliberately left a light trough under the mirror cabinet.

It is said that it is a light trough, but in fact, it is a small wooden board that is blocked below, which is a small board with a thickness of 2 to 5 cm, the purpose is to cover the lamp and make it more beautiful.

In the same way, you can also directly make the door of the mirror cabinet larger, with only one purpose, to block the lamp and make the light softer.

Friends who don't make light troughs don't have to be entangled, and they can be installed directly under the mirror cabinet.

It was found that the lower edge of the mirror cabinet was very low, which would block the view. When you use it, the lamp will not shine directly into the eyes, and the effect is okay.

Preparation of materials

1. LED tube

Buy T5 LED tubes, just buy them in sections according to the length, you can put them together in the middle, and the lights are continuous.

As long as it is a regular lighting brand, which one to buy is basically the same, which one is cheaper to choose, and the life span is generally very long.

My mirror cabinet is 1.8 meters in length, so I bought a 0.6 meter and a 1 meter one, remember that there needs to be a margin for wiring left and right.

The color is warm white (color temperature 4000K), the color is warm and the complexion is better, and the two together are actually about 10 watts.

It cost 20 yuan, and after the arrival of the goods, it was like this.

I have bought this brand several times, and the quality and workmanship are OK.

This is the case with the side plug, and the cable is included in the package.

2. Hand drill/screwdriver

If you have a hand drill, you can use it, and you don't need to buy it separately if you don't have it.

Screw it in like a screwdriver, a minute or two at most.

3. Wire strippers/terminal caps

This kind of easy to use, there are two functions of stripping and crimping, if you don't have it, it's okay, just use scissors and pliers.

4. Hot melt adhesive

After the measured lamp has been used for a long time, there may be poor contact, I am used to using hot melt adhesive to fix it between the two lamps and the plug, which will be very firm.

When disassembling and assembling, it can be completely removed by breaking it hard, leaving no residual glue, which is very easy to use.

In addition, because this is relatively close to the basin, the key parts are covered with hot melt adhesive, which can also effectively waterproof.

Installation process

First, connect the switch in the wall.

Schneider's texture is good, and I replaced it with a Xiaomi smart switch in the later stage, in order to achieve linkage with people in the sensor.

I used a sheath wire to draw out the wires inside, and stretched them along the sides of the mirror cabinet to the upper and lower ends.

If you don't feel beautiful here, you can use PVC trunking to stick it on the wall and then hide the wire.

The connection of the wire, the terminal clamp I use, can be directly wrapped without terminals and then wrapped with electrical tape.

The sheath wire directs the outlet and then plugs the T5 lamp.

In the light trough below, take the middle position and screw the buckle on.

Very simple things, just turn the screws.

After screwing, adjust the angle of the buckle and perpendicular to the lamp.

Then dock the two lamps and press them on the buckle. Applying a little hot melt adhesive in the middle will reduce the risk of loose contact in the future, and can also significantly prevent moisture from entering this seam.

The installation method of the mirror headlamp on the top is exactly the same, and it will not be issued here.

It's as simple as that, there's a mirror headlight on the sink.

LED lights are very durable, and if they break after a few years, it is good to buy a ready-made one and plug it in, which is very convenient.

The lighting is very soft, and I also cooperated with the Mijia smart socket to make a human body sensing night light.

When you sense that someone is going to the toilet at night, you will automatically turn on the mirror headlight, so that it will not be too dazzling.
