Fomalhaut Techno Solutions said that in addition to the highest-end Pura 70 Ultra main camera of the Huawei Pura 70 series, the hardware provided by Sony of Japan is also used, and the other three models are provided by Chinese mainland companies in the processor, screen panel, battery, lens, heat dissipation and acoustic components, with a localization rate of more than 90%.
The main domestic suppliers of Huawei's Pura 70 series include OFILM, Lens Technology, Goertek, Sunny Optics, BOE and other companies, many of which have also been Apple's partners.
Last year, Huawei's Mate 60 series was widely welcomed by the market, but in the early stage, the Mate 60 series was plagued by insufficient production capacity. The Huawei Pura 70 series is about two to three times more stocked than the Mate 60 series, and it is clear that Huawei is well prepared. Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had also previously predicted that the Pura 70 series could ship between 13 million and 15 million units in 2024.
Some industry insiders said that with the release of Huawei Mate 60 series and Pura 70 series, the current blockade of Huawei by the United States is only effective on high-end processors and high-end cameras. With Huawei's hot sales in the Chinese mainland market, its volume is enough to support the growth of local supply chain enterprises, and the two complement each other, and the full localization of Huawei mobile phones is an inevitable result.
According to data from market research agency Canalys, in the first quarter of 2024, Huawei's smartphone shipments in the Chinese mainland market reached 67.7 million units, returning to the top after 13 quarters.
