Battery is also one of Xiaomi's key self-developed technologies. It is understood that the batteries carried by Xiaomi cars are provided by two brands, CATL and BYD. Among them, Xiaomi's high-end models will be equipped with CATL's Kirin battery, which uses a module-less battery structure. The technical highlight is that the battery cells are directly integrated into the battery pack without the module, so that the overall energy density of the battery pack can be increased, thereby improving the cruising range.

Xiaomi SU7 standard version starts with CLTC 700 kilometers, and in the case of the same 19-inch wheels, the battery life of Xiaomi SU7 standard version directly exceeds that of Model 3 long battery life. The industry uses the cruising range, and the CLTC working condition is adopted. CLTC is a very professional standardized test and is a universal endurance evaluation standard. Every Xiaomi SU7 that rolls off the factory line must first complete a vehicle test and verification track with a total length of 2.5 kilometers, a design speed of 120 km/h, and 18 road conditions here before it can be delivered to users.

In addition, during the development period, Xiaomi cars completed many tests. Xiaomi invested 576 vehicles and conducted large-scale tests in 300 cities across the country, from the ultra-low temperature of -40 °C in Heihe to the high temperature of 60 °C in Turpan, across the temperature difference of 100 °C, and then to the plateau test of Kunlun Mountain at an altitude of 4,768 meters.
